An insurer in Florida who sells bodily injury liability insurance is required to offer, in an amount equal to said bodily injury liability limits, uninsured or underinsured motorist (“UM”) coverage, pursuant to Florida Statutes § 627.727.  Lumbermen’s Mut. Cas. Co. v. Beaver, 355 So. 2d 441 (Fla. 4th DCA 1978).  Excluding such required coverage by way of policy exclusions is legally impermissible.  Auto-Owners Ins. Co. v. Bennett, 466 So. 2d 242 (Fla. 2d DCA 1984).
